Oh Man! This didn't come out anything at all like I had thought. But I like it! Sufferin' odds 'n bodkins!
I wanted to experiment a bit with color and inking.
Usually I draw very tight and well within the lines, so this time I made an effort not to. Also my ink lines are boring. While I was at the art store buying paper (which I had planned on using here also, but didn't because it was a dud) I spoted brushes. Ooooh!
Maybe I fumbled onto something...
For all the purists out there, yes I know Amys dress should be white. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But a white dress on white paper doesn't work. So I used a throw back to her basic pink.
I had to sign these! I didn't want to. They are so different from my normal style nobody will believe that I drew these. The pencil sketch is in the scrapbook. [link]
Most of the time I try to jam as many colors in as possible. But this time I used a minimum, maybe ten. I am real pleased with the ink lines, much more interesting than normal.
